Meaning behind the song titles

1-0: In 1919 the Brazilian National Soccer Team won the South American Soccer Championship that had been held in Brazil. In order to celebrate the 1-0 victory (a goal scored by Arthur Friedenreich) in the final game against Uruguay, played at the Laranjeiras Stadium, Pixinguinha composed the choro 1-0.

"Proezas do Solon" (Solon's Skills) was dedicated to his dentist, Dr. Solon, who solved a nagging toothache that had been tormenting Pixinguinha for several days.

The Choro "Vou pra casa" (I'm going home) was composed offhand when Pixinguinha was hospitalized and his doctor told him he would be released.
