About this album
The purpose of this work is to musically illustrate the similarities between choro and Bach's music. Bach is considered one of the most important composers of the Baroque era.
From Bach's vast repertoire, we selected 14 pieces and arranged them for choro ensemble, playing with the traditional choro swing and rhythm. We chose the instruments most commonly found in choro to play the solos of these works as well - flute, mandolin, clarinet, and sax.
Choro and Bach finally united, just to listen to or even to play along!
